if THEY do it, they WILL set the wrong price for gold, and should that be so, we will have one chance to buy in before we move onward and upward to zero state monetary reset #2, 3, 4, ... n, until the correct price for awhile, usd 60k/oz for a few years before paper money come back into fashion.
