My take is yesterday was a test of some technical levels on the downside, and the 3 indexes were down heavy, and once those levels maintained, they ran them up, just because we were oversold and that is how things work these days.
In simple terms, there wasn't much resistance to stop the upside move, as more traders piled in when they figured out it was real.
As always, better to be in early and let the herd bring the numbers to you... Up, down, doesn't matter, watch the herd.
I had a most profitable day trading the RUT & SPX, and expanded my big cap stock holdings by 3 on the earlier dump.
And the full moon was a big help, Imo.
Some things just can't be explained, they just are...
