LOL -- Something about unintended consequences again there.

What would worry me in your shoes is that if things go sufficiently off the rails economically over the course of 2009 and 2010, it could result in a "we have to blame somebody" backlash in the 2010 fall congressionals, at which point a 2012 Palin-Bachmann ticket or some similar nightmare that builds on a Republican right resurgence then becomes a genuine possibility. And don't tell me they could never win, electorates always get the government they deserve.
