Two questions for you: 1) How many Republicans or Independents do you think will make it into the cabinent? 2) Will Gates be reappointed? __________________________________ Yes, Gates will be reappoined for a period of at least a year to assist the transition and provide continuity. He is a no nonsense manager and respected by all. He believes his work is not done but doesn't want to stay for a long time. I think you will have at least two republicans on the official cabinet. Gates is one and I suspect Commerce Secretary could be another. A more high profile position (treasury, state) not likely, but Transportation, HUD....certainly.
