Hi Vaughn...........
Easily one of the better sites for Pipe info, thanks. Although my thinking may be wishful it is not yet clouded. I still believe that a economic, diamondiferous orebody lies beneath Snap Lake. All the exploration findings are still positive, all the geological evidence is still there. A few months and it will be settled once and for all. I understand now how a pipe could actually be eroded to its root zone, the graphic is quite clear, however there is no evidence of this at Camsell area, Snap Lake. Indeed, the samples of kimberlite breccia, clay and kimberlite have been compared to those of Lac de Gras pipes and are similar in age and structure.
I'm sure the root zone scenario is valid for some system somewhere but not here. Another similarity exists between Mountain Province 5034 pipe, Granite cap, numerous dykes, etc. and the Wsp 186 holes. Hey... it's becoming quite evident that this whole Southern Mackenzie area is Hot, not just Lac de Gras. Thanks again for all the info....Chuck
