By far the majority of attorneys are honorable and ethical

Of course you're correct and I was wrong to say otherwise. I suppose my sentiment involves a halo effect of lumping the many good ones in with the others who seem to prevaricate at will and even suppress evidence if they can get away with it. As you say, having so many lawyers as politicians seems to be a problem, but we do need people there who understand law. Having fewer politicians in our politics might be worse. I'm just really tired of seeing these politicians, trained as lawyers, probably trained in ethics, continually slandering their opponents, saying such things as "Bush lied to us," and "Cheney is the most dangerous President we've ever had." While I know it goes both ways, I forget examples of slander by Republicans of Democrats <g>.
