The Spear Report(first rate they are, top notch) is saying U.S. Markets will be 40 to 50% lower than their present level right now BEFORE the year of 2009 is finished.. This they say will be the case regardless of rally levels to be achieved in the next Bear Market Rally.
That is a call for SPX in area of 450-500.
And DOW in area of 5000.
BUT THIS VIEW INCLUDES THEIR CERTAINTY
that the U.S. will pull back from it's militarism, and messing with Middle-East and Iran. Becomes isolationist and Behaves itself.

If the U.S. does NOT pull back from their militarism, and specifically continues to haress Iran until TROUBLE ignites the U.S. will itself finally KNOW THE HELL they bring to others.
