I have been watching the body language of the Obama's and MCCain, Palin and Bush.
When Barak or Michelle speak, one can see them drawing up their facts, oganizing their logic and then they use their hands and arms sort of the way a conductor directs a symphony, fluid and graceful. As they are so well educated their facts and logic comes easily.
MCCain, bush and Palin, all struggle with ideas and seem to use their hands, or voice inflection, much more to supplant their knowledge. Especially Palin. MCCain jabs to make his points. Palin, really uses animated hand motion to express ideas she cannot really organize in her head.
Bush uses voice inflection, instead of hand movement, on certain words he feels are important, but it seems he is doing it as much to prove he knows something about the suject, as it is to convince us.
Very interesting to watch. Palin especially. |
