MEMCO Software Hires Senior Cisco Executive As CEO of U.S. Subsidiary
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 22, 1997--MEMCO Software Ltd. (Nasdaq: MEMCF), a leading provider of information security software solutions, announced today that Gadi Maier, who has held senior management positions at Cisco Systems, Inc. and Oracle Corporation, has joined the company as CEO of MEMCO Software, Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of MEMCO Software Ltd. Mr. Maier will be responsible for directing the company's operations in North America, reporting to Chairman and CEO Israel Mazin. Mr. Maier will be working closely with Eli Singer, President of MEMCO Software, Inc.

In his most recent position, Gadi Maier was VP/GM of the Internet Business Unit at Cisco Systems Inc, where he successfully integrated three company acquisitions into a profitable and fast growing business unit. He joined Cisco in June 1996 from Oracle Corporation, where he held such positions as VP of Worldwide Sales and Operations for the Network Computer division and VP/GM of the New Technologies Division. Earlier in his career Mr. Maier was the Founder and Managing Director of Oracle Japan -- today considered one of the most successful U.S. computer companies in Japan. From 1983-1987, he held senior management positions at Dysan/Xidex Corporation in the U.S., Europe and Australasia.
Gadi Maier received an MBA in Marketing and Finance and a BS in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
