is a PR for another group of researchers who believe that the tangles are the primary causes of AD not the plaque.

Given all the trial failures for drugs treating A-Beta plaques, I suspect that the "tangles" hypothesis may well prove to be more correct; or that there are several things that need to be concurrently targetted: Tangles AND Plaques AND ???.
