Actually, that is NOT what the 14 points are all about. It is one of them.

The extent of my knowledge of Deming is what I got out of a couple of Policy & OR courses years ago, which wasn't much. But apparently, you don't have very much knowledge of the subject either.

At any rate, you've missed the point entirely. You cannot successfully implement Deming's programs when you have unions dictating the operations of the company and this is precisely the case with the Big 3.

I might add that it has become clear to even many democrats that what I said here months ago is correct: The unions are the problem. That's why there is a movement to make any bailout contingent on union concessions.
