But this isn't pragmatic. If Obama were being pragmatic, he would allow Lieberman to stay but restrict him to his strong issues. National security is Lieberman's glaring weakness.

But now that I think about it, it is pragmatic. It's not pragamatic for helping his government function well. It's pragmatic in helping him get re-elected.
