I had no problem getting through it in a week or so. I'd only read a couple chapters at a time. It's an enjoyable read. It certainly has a spiritual vein running through the entire story. If you're opposed to finding God in a story, this one wouldn't be for you. It has a twist to it that I found unexpected yet enjoyable. Several friends read it about the same time and we had a good time talking about it later.
