Just for instance, he mentions stagnant middle-class wages and job loss

Now that Brazil has auto factories with robots making nearly the entire car, doesn't anyone see the handwriting on the wall here in America? Of course they do....But the Unions will buck nearly anything.

Perhaps the Government could initiate a call for communities to have "focus groups of citizens". These citizens could volunteer to talk to companies in their areas about what THOSE companies need in terms of skill sets for jobs they want to create, or have created, but don't have the right education or skill level within their employee ranks. These focus groups could also talk about their own current jobs, their current SKILLS, and perhaps match them to new training for new companies. This doesn't take much, if any funding. But might just head us into a totally new direction UP economically.

There are so many things that could be accomplished by working together to solve the problem. We just need a National Push!

Today's Republican leaders need to develop innovative solutions to the challenges of our time, especially domestic issues, including: rising health care costs, dependence on foreign oil, stagnant middle-class wages and job loss, environmental concerns, the federal debt and unsustainable growth of entitlements. Instead of bigger government and more bureaucracy, Republicans must offer common-sense reforms that reward innovation and hard work, encourage personal responsibility, and harness market forces to help solve problems.
