Thread: For the past several years I've made pot pies for the Thanksgiving dinner. My goal is to come up with a new recipe each year. This year I am thinking of trying either a tomatoe base or cheese sauce. I will have one that is made with the more traditional white sauce, so I don't worry if the new recipe is a flop.

Any ideas for making one or the other of these new recipes work would be appreciated.

I usually include the basic root stock and tasty vegies. I've never tried a pot pie with pasta, can you do that?

Past years I've tried differen't crusts but it seems everyone prefers traditional pie crust. Roled bread crumbs turned out terrible.

Some of my novel ideas from the past have been...

Manly man pot pie: lots of hot peppers and stuff.

Girly man pot pie: Bernaise type sauce.

Garlic and herbs sauce.

Lime and creamcheese sauce.

Regular meat and sauce but with Italian veggies
