I'd say half of them are sold to townies who never haul anything, don't need the room and never go off road. They like a big, heavy tank of a vehicle that makes them feel safe and powerful - women too. My dad was in advertising, and the right advertising can sell Pet Rocks(tm) and snowballs to eskimos.


I grew up with dad explaining EXACTLY how TV commercials were forming my opinions and desires. Now, I'm pretty much immune.
