Ted, there will always be a demand for car manufacturing in America. Even if those car plants are owned by Toyota, Hyundai, etc.

Many of the people laid off from the Big Three can find new jobs which will be created by those filling the void left behind. And that's even if the Big Three cease to exist, which I don't believe will happen even if there is no bailout. The most likely non-bailout scenario would be Chapter 11.


What you're saying may well be true but the shakeout could take years and there could very well be a depression during the interim.
