re: ["can we get your opinion on energy and coal stocks here ?"]

I like the natural gas E&P's on a valuation basis, and nat
gas was up today, and we're supposed to get a cold early
start to winter, a moderate middle, and a cold late end
oto winter... which sounds good for gas.

I've been trading KWK, added a new initial entry into DPTR
today, and was waiting for KBR today, but didn't get my
bid hit.

The only coal play I bought was TCK, which is a broad based
commodity play but added to their coal position with a debt
financed buyout of Fording Coal. I got an immediate $1 pop,
only to have my stops blasted out of the water soon thereafter.
I still like it, but it's getting crushed here, and is only
for spec money... bought with trading profits.

Coal's getting crushed, and looks deeply over sold,
so does energy... but, what doesn't?

What's amazing, is that the OSX has come down to levels
that we saw back in 1997-98 in the days of the original
SI Strictly Drilling thread with Oil in the $20's, and
now it's $50? I like KBR with it's balance sheet, and cash.

I think the PPT will come in and stabilize the Asian markets
tonight, and then pump up the open tomorrow. You could almost
predict it in the past when they've come in...
and if not now, when?

And that, in addition to valuations, is one reason I bought heavy into this close.

If the PPT doesn't come in, and the market doesn't turn
tomorrow... then it sure looks like we're going to DOW 5/6k.
