Nation's 6th Largest Credit Union Taps XO to Expand Network Capacity and Redundancy

HERNDON, VA--(MARKET WIRE)--Nov 20, 2008 -- XO Communications (OTC BB:XOHO.OB - News) today announced a new agreement to provide network services to America First Credit Union, the 6th largest credit union in terms of total membership and the 12th largest credit union in assets in the United States.

Under the terms of the three-year contract, XO Communications will deploy a private data networking solution for America First Credit Union to connect more than 80 retail locations across the state of Utah with their two core data centers. The XO solution will provide secure connectivity between all America First Credit Union locations and offer expanded bandwidth necessary to support the company's growing network capacity needs. With the deployment of a secure, private data networking solution over XO's high performance network, America First Credit Union can ensure business continuity and provide the maximum network uptime for its users and members to access financial information.

"Over the last few years, we have experienced significant growth and were in need of a proven provider that could deploy the bandwidth, network reliability, and security we require in delivering premier financial services to our members," said Randy Hunter, senior IT manager at America First Credit Union. "We're confident that the solution provided by XO will meet our networking needs and will help us continue to grow our business."

"We are very pleased that America First Credit Union has selected XO to support this important network initiative," said Shawn Adamson, general manager of XO Communications' Salt Lake City office. "Our solution will allow America First Credit Union to cost-effectively connect all of their locations over our high-capacity network backbone and deliver expanded bandwidth, as well as added redundancy and security to the credit union's private network."
