I believe Sullivan is a Christian, or at least portrays himself as one.

I think this whole debate over whether the evangelicals cost the republicans their majority status is a bit silly. Those voters stayed pretty loyal and, goodness knows, they loved Sarah Palin.

As with most lost elections and lost opportunities, it is not the base but the center that decides the election. McCain/Palin lost the center and could never get it back after Labor Day.
