Good for you Mr. Stefan. There are more laughable P/E ratios out there than you can shake a stick at.

I have become accustomed to passing on such "opportunities" although... some of the "ridiculous" dividend paying issues out there made me twitch a couple of times. Still at this point I am into dirt... and other such hard assets as may house, cloth, feed or transport me.

But I am staying out of this so called "market," a/k/a Big Casino, until I see some reform I can respect. Oddly enough, thus far I see very little by way of reform momentum in the trade press/news. In fact the little I have seen reference to has been overwhelmed by the industry's full court press. The impression I've been left with is that all we can expect is greater institutionalization of the very problems which allowed this mess to geometrically implode.

At the very least I am 99% certain that the Brokerage industry... in which I would include all hedge fund, pension, and other pooled money managers/advisers/consultants... will put up a much tougher fight than the auto makers, or any manufacturing group, ever did.

Then again... perhaps things just aren't bad enough yet to bring about the kind of changes I'm looking for. Perhaps the Red and Blue politicians are getting their act together behind closed doors and plotting some marvelous campaign to wring the gambling out of the former capital investment business, but I'll believe it when I see it.
