the thing that upsets me about this is that all along, you could look at these massive Bush admin screwups and consistently blame the caliber of his staff as the culprit- people like "Brownie" and Gonzales, these people were never national caliber and obviously when confronted with adversity, they screwed up. Bush didn't think he needed top people coming in at the end of the Clinton era.

But Paulson has a background similar to Clinton era appointees. He had the right pedigree for that job and wasn't some stupid lokel yokel from the texas state government like all the other Bush appointees. These issues are not so easy to fix.

Yes, I did check out Paulson.....he has a good background. I am not so much criticizing his performance.......we don't know yet if what he did will work. What I am criticizing is how he went about it......getting done on bended knee........hated that image....in front of the Dems and then once he gained control, he changed the game plan without telling anyone. Seems snarky to me.
