Actually, Neeka... the over-wrought phrasing was your's. :-)

But --- as far as "backing it up" --- you should simply look at the latest Gallup Poll which asks (as it routinely has been asking the same question for many decades now) people if they "approve" or "disapprove" of the President.

There, in those poll numbers, you will see that around 3/4 of the public disapproves of the President right now (and has pretty much all year long now).
