11/21/08 update
Wall Street's yo-yo tournament, pitting the Bulls vs. the Bears, continued for another week. But despite Friday's big rally the Bears once again came up winners. At Friday's close, the Nasdaq Composite Index was down -47.81% YTD (vs. -42.81% YTD a week ago), while the Nasdaq Biotech Index was down -25.13% YTD (vs. down -15.62% YTD a week ago). And the Contest portfolio median closed down -46.92% YTD (vs. down -38.46% YTD a week ago).
At week's end, thanks mostly to GNVC's plunge, even contest leader Gene's portfolio moved into the red. So, currently, none of the contest portfolios are in the black, although 3 of the 33 are beating the NBI's YTD performance. Gene's portfolio closed the week down -1.6% YTD, with No. 2 ROBERT's portfolio closing down -20.2% YTD.
It's a turkey of a stock market but don't let that spoil your Thanksgiving folks!
Below is the Top Ten list on 11/21/08:

1 GENE -1,621
2 ROBERT -20,194
3 CASA -24,418
