you know, I know there is a segment of the republican voting bloc that delights in the hypocrisy of most people that are affected seeing animals slaughtered but nonetheless, are meat eaters.

But while this might provide you with a moment of amusement, you do a great deal of damage to your cause by acting so out in left field with regards to a normal reaction of most people seeing a turkey slaughtered. Most people have compassion for animals, and don't like to see them slaughtered- particularly the institutionalization of this activity (many people have no problem seeing a hunter hunt a turkey and bringing him home- it is the witnessing of those disgusting machines that decaptiate and drain blood that is upsetting).

There is a reason the US president pardons the turkey instead of giving an interview while somebody in the background decapitates it and drains its blood.

Politico had an opinion piece a while back calling Palin a social cretin and this turkey slaughter is just another notch on that bedpost. Palin's outback alaska life has left her with no social skills as to how the rest of the country sees the slaughtering of animals. She supports shooting wolves from the air- the rest of the nation is outraged. She stands there oblivious to a turkey slaughter without a care or an ounce of compassion. She is disgusting.

BTW at my turkey dinner there is a tofurkey because we invite some vegetarians and after this image of the Palin turkey slaughter, that is what I am going to have. I will just tell the family that I want to try the tofurkey which is true. I suspect many have the same emotion after witnessing this image.
