My WAG is, Ted, that we're in an economic clusterfuck outside the experience of any living person. So, I don't know how it's going to play out, the economic pundits don't know and the economic theorists don't know.
I'm betting that anyone that saying, this past economic time went like THIS, so now we can expect THAT, is wrong. So, I'm trying to make money, but my main goal is just to preserve the capital that I've already built up. So far, I've done both, which is more than many very highly compensated Wall Street gurus have done.
Right now, I'm expecting at LEAST a severe recession that will last for years - but, like I said, I don't know anything. I expect a lot of attempts to turn sentiment with happy talk articles in the press, while unemployment climbs to double digits and venerated companies that have existed longer than we have go belly up. |
