But I think labor should earn market rates, not rates that are the product of extortion and strongarm tactics, which is what the UAW amounts to. So you think workers shouldn't be allowed to organize? Why should unskilled laborers in Detroit be paid more than Walmart employees or McDonalds employees who aren't unionized? Because Comrade, this is America. You parley the capitalist system to take what you can get, no matter if you are a worker, a CEO or an owner. Because of your native disrespect for labor you would saddle them with undemocratic restrictions on their freedom. Yet let management, which got us into this mess, run wild. When you start railing against executive compensation maybe I'll take you more seriously.
