Don't you feel proud that your government is using US taxpayer dollars to guarantee $554 billion of a private sector bank's deposit base that is held outside the country by foreigners?

Wouldn't want some Citi depositor in France or Latvia or India to be losing sleep over maybe losing their money, apparently that's for regular Americans to do -- at least Treasury kept that job in the USA

Judging by the market reaction, I think that Treasury should take the cue and guarantee everything now, i.e. loans, stock prices, the weather, shooting under 90 every Sunday, everything
