Universal Detection Technology Reports More Than a 60 Fold Increase in Revenues for the Quarter Ending On September 30, 2008 Compared to the Same Period in 2007

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 19, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Universal Detection Technology (www.udetection.com) (OTCBB:UNDT) (Frankfurt:PO8), a developer of early-warning monitoring technologies to protect people from bioterrorism and other infectious health threats and provider of counter-terrorism consulting and training services, is pleased to announce a 6,000% increase in revenues for the three months ending on September 30, 2008 as compares with the same three month period in 2007. Revenues for the quarter increased to $45,000 from $600 for the same period the previous year.

According to the Company's financial statements revenues for the 9 months ending on September 30, 2008 increased by 1,500% compared to the same period in 2007.

"We have seen a substantial jump in sales this quarter as compared to the same quarter last year. This is due to increased sales in our detection equipment for biological and radiological threats and our sales of equipment deployed at the 2008 Beijing Olympics," said Jacques Tizabi, CEO of Universal Detection Technology.
