Palin only got to be governor in a three way race. She won less than 50% of the vote. She was also the instant beneficiary of a gusher of oil money which made any fiscal problems vanish. And of course she has an engaging personality and sexuality. So I'd say the people of Alaska were snookered. Don't expect Palin to have more than a sli majority of support up there in the future. A democrat just got elected to the senate for the first time in 50 years. And the tides are turning in places like Montana and Colorado too. Basically, people have woken and seen the modern GOP is based on corruption, lies and trickery, not serving the people. Palin politically is no different from Ted Stevens. She's been taking oil money and gifts the whole time. And she is a serial liar who habitually states that white is black and black is white, with a smile. Just incredible dishonesty. And inside that pretty little head, not much knowledge about anything. She didn't even know what countries comprised North America or who the Prime Minister of Canada is. Just an ignoramus.
