CJ, > It has been proven that teenagers don't have a fully developed brain. Judgment, in particular, is impaired.

But teenagers are allowed to get abortions without parental consent. Hence the relevance of that argument.

How come their judgement is just fine when it comes to killing an unborn child?

Now age 18 is an arbitrary point, but a line is needed somewhere.

I've got news for you: It's all arbitrary. Marriage, age of consent, equal protection, even sexual preference.

A group of judges can decide one day that age of consent laws are "unconstitutional" and violate "equal protection." Try to put those laws into the constitution via amendment, even put it to a majority vote, and the same group of judges will argue that the majority is full of it and isn't allowed to pass something like that. Why? Because these judges aren't impressed by your defense of the age of consent laws.

Think it can never happen? It is already happening with gay marriage.
