That would be the *norm* for most all presidents... to decline in popularity over their terms in office.

However, one should note that Obama is not even president yet (not even sworn in yet...), and the polling seems to show that thus far he is still GAINING in popularity... no declines have yet been seen.

(Although each pollster uses their own particular polling methodology... it appears that the favorables/unfavorables for Obama right now are around two-to-one for the favorables over the unfavorables.)

About TWICE as many Americans approve as disapprove... while Bush seems to be dropping into a cellar of lows never-before-seen for *any* president, since modern polling first began right after WW II.
