Sera's divesture of its modem business and write off resulted in rising share price. Just for the fun of it, let's put LSCC in test.
Assuming LSCC distributed all $200 mil. or @$10 per share to all
shareholders, price will certainly go up and then fall to $18 (today'
closing $28),given $2 EPS,that's 9xPE,cheap,right? Then market could bid up to 13xPE or $26. And what happen to ROE? It too will
skyrocket. Alternatively, let's say to $200 mil. for stock buyback,
it probably will yield the same result - exceed the current price.
Now you see the fun side of it. The serious side? LSCC is grossly
undervalued based on today's valuation no matter how you look at it.
