"Maybe obama is coming to his senses..."

Or maybe he always had those senses and you just never knew it?

Face it... he's a brainy guy who out-maneuvered the entire Clinton political juggernaut, the rest of the Democrat Party, and every tactic the Republicans thought of to attack him with.

He has *always* been far more PRAGMATIC than the national press painted him as....

(Back in his days as a legislator in the Illinois state legislature he was known as a big 'policy wonk'... down and dirty with the nitty-gritty details of the State budgeting process.)

Another way of putting it is that he's a NERD. (And I am quite certain that his understanding of economics is vastly greater than McCain's. For which, in our current and, no doubt, multi-year global crisis, I am much comforted by.)

McCain and Bush... neither was exactly a big economics brain. (Although, in his later years, specifically the last two or so, the quality of Bush's economic decision making has been improving. As has the quality of the economic team he finally evolved into. I suppose it is impossible to spend eight years in the WH without actually learning a great deal about how the world actually works....)
