Yes,(it is outside the house, a 12kw Generac--but i am now running at just 4kw as --just to run furnace and computer/fridge/water pump and for some tv) --- runs off a Probane "Pig" Tank.
We have now been 19 hours on generator, and just did calculation, generator is now burning off 1% of supply per 60 minutes, at 4kw demand, i have 50% left----that would be 50 more hours--but need account for variables--so can say we have safely 40hours left.)

Up here , without alternate heat source you freeze to death if bitter cold.
We will be in the high 20s at night and high 30s during our brief day--on Winter Soltice are day will be about 6 hours.

Problem is the Propane supplier can't begin to answer demand when all start going empty at once.
Max full is 80%(safety against expansion from heat).

i just hope we get back power before empty---the waiting list will be pretty bad. Max
