Volker the Fed Chair responsible for raising Carter's misery index to stratospheric heights? Another loser for Obama. What was the interest rate when Carter left office? Unemployment rate? Inflation? A great Fed Chair followed Volker. The Fed Chair preceding Greenspan was horrible.

Full Disclosure, I have bought and read Volker's books critiquing his tenure and he is a legend in his own mind.

I guess if appointing brilliant people was proof that President Bush 43 was a moron (in the minds of partisan hacks) appointing morons must be proof that Obama is brilliant.
