Here is how I have listed my drugs and supplements for my Cardiologist next month. I didn't list the Vitamin C or the Flax seed because I don't have a heart study for them yet. The explanation beneath each makes it tougher for him to bad--mouth them:

FUROSEMIDE - TWO 20MG TABLET A DAY - WATER RETENTION, FEET

ATENOLOL - TWO 50MG TABLET- ONE MORNING AND ONE NIGHT. - BLOOD PRESSURE
LISINOPRIL - ONE 10MG TABLET A DAY - BLOOD PRESSURE

DRUGS AND SUPPLEMENTS FOR HEART

WARFARIN - 4MGS A DAY FOR AFIB. ADJUSTED WEEKLY

SIMVASTATIN - 20MG TAB A DAY

CoQ10 100MGS A DAY
.................Stops my muscle ache from the statin

SLO-NIACINE, - 1500 MG PER DAY
................."Guyton, et al, 2000," shows Niacine increases HDL 25%. Reduces LDL and Lp(a)

FISH OIL, - 3000MG OF OMEGA-3 PER DAY
................Reduces triglicerides. ERA JUMP study shows higher serum levels of omega-3 fatty acids reduce MI's by almost half.

VITAMIN D, - 6000IU D-3 BY SOFT GELS PER DAY
................ To maintain blood level over 60. Increases HDL. Decreases plaque. Pilz study. - Low vitamin D linked to sudden cardiac death.

L-ARGININE - 4000 MG PER DAY
................ shrinks coronary plaque.

SOY PROTEIN POWDER - TWO OUNCES PER DAY
................ FDA study shows it reduces LDL.

OAT BRAN - TWO OUNCES PER DAY
................."In 1997, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration passed a unique ruling that allowed oat bran to be registered as the first cholesterol-reducing food at an amount providing 3 grams of beta-glucan per day."

DHEA - 100MG PER DAY
................Rancho Bernardo Study and the Massachusetts Male Aging Study show it helps protect against MI's.

I AM WHEAT, CORN AND REFINED SUGAR FREE
................Helped me lose 20 pounds so far, on the way to my goal of a 25 BMI. --HDL cholesterol goes up, triglycerides go down --Blood sugar drops --Small LDL is reduced --C-reactive protein marker is reduced

TESTS NEEDED EVERY YEAR

1) Heart Scan
2) Lipoprotein analysis
3) OH25D-3 blood test
4) CRP test
