I do think in a small way the public does become a force here. It contrasts with the idea that the public is dumb and always gets fleeced. My Scottrade broker has said for weeks that they've been flooded with new accounts. The investor class in America is growing. They also know they can not count on the government for SS and Medicare. We as a growing older subset of this economy are spending less and saving/investing more. It is perhaps the unusually proper reward for the conservative invest to prevail over the highly levered smat guy in the room as he buys in at the bottom after the waves of liquidation have exposed pure value almost universally accros the equity classes. Just a positive thought that may well be a trend. We are not all sheople. Bob
