It could play out either way. The Lib/NDP side are saying this is an assault on our democracy, only because neither party has the ability to raise money like the Tories or Obama has. The Tories will say they are being prudent, and it costs them the most.

As usual, it comes down to who spins the message best!

I have little respect for any of them. Harper took the left center ground a few years ago, alienating his supporters knowing full well they had nowhere to run. The left is divided and hopeless and now falling into this obvious trap (a dangerous one mind you) set by Harper. Who is better - the shameless PM or the hopeless opposition?
