When he gets in office, the MSM will suddenly be interviewing people overseas who love us.

From now on, we shouldn't underestimate the power of the MSM as Obama's personal propaganda machine.

The economy will miraculously improve too. Or if the figures make it impossible, recovery will be right 'round the corner. That's why they're trying to talk it up (down?) as a second Great Depression now. So Obama can singlehandedly revive it with a laying on of hands come January 20th.

But Obama shouldn't count on the media love lasting. Reporters need news to report, and news mostly means bad news. They won't have McCain and Palin around to fill the void. Obama needs to be successful in his actions and adroit in managing the media to keep the good coverage beyond the first year in office. Otherwise, the first big Obama kerflop the media has to cover could open the door for more. We saw this dynamic with the coverage of Bill Clinton. The media wanted to love him, they really did, but his administration took so many pratfalls in 1993 and 94 that the media had to start covering them; after that, the spell was broken. Does Obama know how to manage a hostile media? When has he ever had to?
