If it was not Volker's tightening of interest rate policy in the United States (to the point of triggering a serious recession...) that finally broke the back of the mega inflationary cycle, of more than a decade's length, in America... than WHAT WAS IT? I give credit where credit is due. <g>

Well... I feel sure that it is at exactly the same level as the 'ignorance level' for the remaining 47% of the voting public, Peter. :-)
