I would not be too surprised if Russians did need a little help, and if they do, they are not really in a position to ask Europe for help, since they want to screw Europe on the Energy price.

The US is not in a position to help Russia, assuming we would.

China, Japan and some of the oil exporters like Saudi Arabia and Kuwait are about the only ones with much free funds today.

What would China get in return ?

Maybe some weapons technology, but much better would be oil an natural gas pipelines form Russia, and even better, rail roads connecting Western China to the Russian rail system so that Western China can trade with Russia, Europe, and others.
