The violent factions in Iraq have been emboldened by Obama's election. They realize their attacks after Jan 20 won't result in instant retaliation from the US military. Dems always try what that term 'soft diplomacy' whenever they manage to regain national power. It takes numerous attacks on US interests, possibly within US borders as well, before Dems finally admit their soft approach doesn't work with cold-blooded ruthless terrorists.
