They could build a "chevy impala" with 10000 robots and I still wouldn't buy one. Their marketing decisions stink.

Marketing genius that you are, you should realize that what YOU would or wouldn't buy is meaningless, just as my personal preferences are. I've driven an Impala rental and was surprised by it - still wouldn't by one (because it is a GM vehicle), but why would they throw away a perfectly good brand?

There is a lot more than marketing that goes into these decisions. You don't discontinue a product just because someone in marketing perceives it to be a loser. Marketing is a small part of the decision process.
