Do you know anything about Gates? He is Scowcroft's man. Suffice it to say, he isn't a huge fan of the Iraq war, and more on the side of "get out while the getting is good".

Now I certainly have some qualms about his competence. Despite his promises, he never did solve the parking problem at A&M. But, Iraq very well may be a simpler problem...

The natives have fewer guns, for one.
