Of course the main caveat is its rather large LTD and if it will be able to stay in business. :>) They announced on September 22,that it had notified Ares and New Leaf that it did not expect to satisfy the condition in the Purchase Agreement with respect to the minimum level of cash and cash equivalents required to be held at the time of the transaction's close, and that it intended to take a series of actions to reorganize and restructure its businesses.<g> On the 3rdQ,they recorded an impairment charge to goodwill,a non-cash accounting item, of $599.4M and in addition, recognized costs and potential costs totaling $13.5M related to the uncertainty regarding the proposed transaction with Ares and New Leaf.<g> On October 10,they announced that BSC had received approval from the FDA to market and sell the second-generation TAXUS Paclitaxel-Eluting Stent.They are expected to receive royalties based on the commercial sale of these products by BSC, which BSC has stated it would launch before the end of 2008.
