NBER's method is not that one which is commonly used to determine when we are in recession

And there we have it, a bald faced lie. Can you make my next challenge a little more, uh, challenging?

The NBER is the official arbiter of business cycles. It's not a recession unless NBER says it is.

The Whitehouse knows this:

In a statement, White House Deputy Press Secretary Tony Fratto said that even though the recession is now official, it is more important to focus on the steps being taken to fix the economy.

And after 5 years you still haven't manned up about those phony bio labs allegedly found in Iraq.
