so you can eat gorge yourself with it. That's preposterous.

You are beating a "straw man" Lane. "Eat all you want," to Davis, means you don't have to count the nuts anymore. Not "gorge yourself." I used to count out 15 cashews. Now I take a handful. I fry up canned corned beef in oil and add it to my 3-egg omelet. I drain the cooked beef of excess oil on paper before adding. I don't worry about fat and salt, but I don't push it.

Where the Cardios went wrong in the '50s was thinking that, since they found CAD to consist of fat and Chloresterol, the solution was to cut down on those two. That was intuitive. Turned out to be wrong. Your body decides what to use for storage and energy. It can get it from most any food. But it stores much easier from carbohydrates. And builds Insulin resistance from them.

In all of this change of diet, remember the words of Aristotle:

"Moderation in all things."
