You are beating a "straw man" Lane.

Not a straw man. I quote:"they do not make you fat, regardless of the quantity consumed." Remember, this man is a medical professional writing for the internet. He has no reasonable expectation that readers will "know" that he means something other than what he actually said, which is that nuts are not fattening even in quantity. Not everyone reading will have an available devotee to translate for him.

Making statements like that risks credibility and the health of those who read his words. He should be more careful.

My diet is more than half fat. I'm not afraid of dietary fat. But I am afraid of calories. Body fat kills.
