While I don't altogether disagree, the current debacle at GM has almost nothing to do with marketing.

As I've pointed out before, the current problem isn't about a loss of market share. ALL auto makers sales are down and there is no evidence to suggest that GM is down anymore than TM.

The fact is this is a UNION problem. Unless the union problem is fixed, the gradual trend of losing market share will never matter because they are going to be out of business long before the market share gets critical.

I'm getting the sense you don't really have the big picture view, here. You see that little corner of the business you understand and I don't take issue with you on what their marketing problems are. I do, however, take issue with any assertion that marketing killed them. It didn't. The unions did.
